we think you’re a great guy!

Is this a little unconventional? Yes.
Is it kind of genius? Also yes.

We—Marra’s friends and sisters—wanted to bring back the whimsy of dating. The old-school magic of set-ups and blind dates. That flutter you get when someone says, “I have someone I think you should meet.” But let’s be honest: dating doesn’t quite work like that anymore.

While apps and online dating are great ways to meet new people, we loved the idea of taking our role as wing women one step further, with a little more heart, a little more intention, and a lot more personality.

So we’re trying something new. You caught our attention, and we think you just might hit it off with Marra. With her full approval (and enthusiasm), we created this site to introduce you to the woman we know and love, and to see if there’s a spark worth exploring.

Quick Facts about Marra

Family First

Marra comes from a big family. Irish-Catholic, IYKYK. With 2 sisters, over 15 cousins, and a niece and nephew, spending time with family is Marra’s love language. Whether it’s a holiday gathering, grabbing drinks for a celebration, or the family’s annual Masters Day party (must love golf), being together with family is important to Marra!

Daughter, Sister, Niece and Aunt

Never Say Never

Ask any of her friends and family, Marra is always the first one to say “Let’s do it!” She’s always up for trying something new, whether that’s a new sports league or a random team outing (she just went curling!), she doesn’t shy away from the unknown or activities that may seem silly. Anything for a good story!

Volleyball league? Turkey Trot? Marra's up for it!

Marra has grown up with many dogs, big and small. But after she bought her first home, she was ready to add a roommate. Enter Wilson. Marra rescued Wilson through a local organization when he was just a month old. He’s now 10 months old and still full of puppy energy, so outdoorsy dates with puppy cuddles is always a good idea!

Must Love Dogs

We asked, Marra answered

  • Chocolate ice cream, hot fudge— just kidding.

Waking up to a warm cup of a coffee, knocking out groceries for the week and getting that out of the way, taking the dog to the metroparks, and finishing the day with my latest binge-watch or binge-read. Currently binging The Pitt, and reading some Sci-Fi or Romantasy genre.

  • Subtitles on always. I never watch tv or movies without them.

  • In order according to spotify:

    1. Sam Fender

    2. Taylor Swift

    3. Kingfishr

    4. Noah Kahan

    5. Griff

  • Bruce Springsteen back with Clarence, RIP. I’ve seen Bruce 5 times. Biiiiig Bruuuuuuuuuce family.

  • They vote blue.

  • Planning or organizing a trip.

  • Masthead!

  • I’ll never say no to a baseball game, I try to go to a few each season. I’ll root for the Browns and Cavs, but I’m more likely to be downtown for a Guards game in the summer!

We asked Marra’s closest friends:

“What is your favorite thing about Marra?

“My favorite thing about Marra is that she is always trying to find ways to help other people. She is the first to volunteer to help set up for a party, babysit kids, buy you lunch, or do something to make your day a little bit easier. She is generous and loving to everyone around her.”

— Brittany

“Marra is ALWAYS my yes woman. From Harry Potter bar trivia, to volunteering at Beer Fest, to pup walks. Not to mention her smiley face and positive attitude!!”

— Kayla

First and foremost, she is the most loyal and empathetic person I have encountered. Her concern for those around her is the way everyone should be. But secondly, Marra’s sense of humor is understated gold. Puns - she has the best. One liners - diabolical. But you have to listen closely to really get the good ones.

— Jayne

We know that no one is perfect, but you’ll get major bonus points if …

  • You get lost in books, fiction and non-fiction alike. Reading is how you like to unwind and relax.

  • British culture interests you. You don’t hesitate to turn on Brit Box or BBC to watch a new series. Repair Shop, anyone?!

  • You love to bake and cook. Testing new recipes and sharing with loved ones is a favorite hobby.

  • Snow or sun, rain or shine (okay, maybe not rain), you’re up for a few miles walking in the metro parks, coffee in hand.

  • You’re patient and tend to be reserved at first. You assess and observe before you dive in.

  • You’re willing to tag along to a mass every now and then with Marra and her family. Raised Catholic, attending church a few times a year (hey—we said near perfect) is something you’re familiar with.

  • You can finish this sentence: “Cracking toast, _________!”
